Dr. Gladys Wangechi King’ori is a dedicated physicist and researcher with a strong academic and professional background in both physics and information systems. She currently serves as the Vice Secretary of the Physical Society of Kenya (PSK), where she plays an active role in advancing physics education, research, and professional collaboration within the country and beyond.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from the University of Eldoret, alongside two Master’s degrees — a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Science in Physics from Kenyatta University. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Education (Science), Honours, from Egerton University, establishing a strong foundation for her multidisciplinary expertise.

Dr. King’ori is affiliated with The Technical University of Kenya and maintains an active role in research and professional mentorship. Her research interests center on the adoption and integration of machine learning and artificial intelligence in materials informatics and discovery, as well as ab initio modeling of materials’ properties for renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency.

Her contributions to the scientific community are also reflected in her publications and academic collaborations, accessible through her online research profiles.
