Dr. James Mugambi Linturi is a Senior Lecturer of Physics and the Director of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization at South Eastern Kenya University. He holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics from Johannes Gutenberg University–Mainz, Germany, an MSc in Physics, and a BEd (Science) from Kenyatta University. Dr. Linturi’s research spans natural radioactivity assessment, radiation protection, and particle scattering, with numerous publications in reputable journals. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Physics Society of Kenya and a member of several professional bodies, including the Eastern African Association for Radiation Protection, the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), and the Kenya DAAD Scholars Association. He has also undertaken specialized training in nuclear knowledge management, nuclear energy management, artificial intelligence in project-based learning, and grant writing.
