The Physics Society of Kenya was founded in 1983 as the Kenya Physical Society. The name was changed in 2012 due to changes in Government policy/regulations.
Since its establishment, PSK has played a vital role in advocating for the study and application of physics across the country and the region, continually fostering a lively community of physics enthusiasts, researchers, and educators. It promotes educational initiatives, collaborative research, and public engagement in physics. Through various programs and events, the society has increased appreciation for physics as a crucial branch of science, inspiring future generations of scientists and innovators in Kenya and throughout Africa.
