Dr. Wilson Ombati Nyang’au is the Secretary of the Physics Society of Kenya. He holds Ph.D. from the Institute of Semiconductor Technology at Technische Universität Braunschweig in Germany, as well as an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. from the Department of Physics at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya.

He has over 14 years of experience as a metrologist at the Kenya Bureau of Standards, where he is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurements in various contexts. Dr. Ombati also serves as a Technical Assessor for mass and related quantities, is the Deputy Chair of the AFRIMETS Technical Committee on Mass and Related Quantities, and works as a guest researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the USA.

His current research interests include metrology, environmental sensing, and electronics.
